About John Rubino
John Rubino is co-owner and partner at GreenRubino, an independent creative agency based in Seattle. John considers his accomplishments two-fold - what he can do for his employees and clients and what he can do for the community. He’s proud of helping build one of the leading and highly respected agencies in the region while always finding time to contribute to organizations such as GSBA, PAWS and Seattle Children’s. He champions work that makes our world a better place – whether that’s providing pro-bono marketing services to a non-profit or providing paid days off for GreenRubino employees to volunteer in the community.
John’s previous honors have included being a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year by EY and being named one of Seattle’s 40 Under 40 by Puget Sound Business Journal. The agency has received Best Places to Work recognition by a number of publications such as AdAge, The Puget Sound Business Journal and Seattle Business Magazine. GreenRubino believes great work comes from a good place. He works with his team to ensure goodness is part of the creative intention of the work the agency creates and brings to life.
John has been involved with GSBA for many years. His involvement includes being a member, serving on the board of directors, pro-bono marketing services (such as the brand identity system for GSBA and GSBA Scholarship Fund), speaking engagements and being a major donor. It's his connection to the organization and his commitment to the mission of the GSBA Scholarship Fund that led him this year to create a named scholarship with his husband to help LGBTQ+ and allied students succeed.
